Dewi has more than 20 years of experience in the field of marketing research. Her work began when she became an assistant lecturer in statistics at the Faculty of Economics & Business, University of Indonesia. From her alma mater, Dewi earned her Bachelor of Economics in 2000.

Her experience as a consultant is also enriched by her experience as a practitioner for a decade in various pharmaceutical companies, both local and multinational.

Dewi is also the co-writer of several national best-selling books, including Marketing in Venus (Gramedia, 2004) and Marketing to Middle-Class Muslims (Gramedia, 2014)
